in the "Heart of the Smokies", Knoxville, Tennessee, Dana

to the deep south and the University of Georgia. She earned her Ph.D.
from the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development in
1983. After a stint as an Assistant Professor of Child Development
at Lamar University in Texas, she returned to Georgia to be a child

she worked until after her first child was born in 1993.

1996, her book Strong-Willed
Child or Dreamer?, co-authored with Dr. Ron Braund was published
by Thomas Nelson. Dr. Spears is a frequent radio guest of Marriage

live outside Atlanta, Georgia with their dog, two cats, two guinea
